LinkedIn has reversed its decision to move to Microsoft's Azure cloud service, known as Blueshift, and will keep its data centre technology in its physical facilities. The move is a setback for Microsoft in the cloud infrastructure market. LinkedIn's Vice President of Engineering, Mohak Shroff, had previously announced the move to Azure in 2019 to access hardware and software innovations. However, in 2022, LinkedIn's Chief Technology Officer, Raghu Hiremagalur, announced that the migration would be put on hold to allocate resources to external Azure customers. LinkedIn continues to use Azure for specific tasks and applications.
