Aditya-L1 has started collection of scientific data, here's the latest update

The Supra Thermal & Energetic Particle Spectrometer (STEPS) instrument, part of India's Aditya-L1 solar mission, has started collecting scientific data. STEPS, developed by the Physical Research Laboratory, consists of six sensors that measure supra-thermal and energetic ions and electrons. The data collected will help scientists analyze the behavior of particles surrounding Earth, especially in the presence of Earth's magnetic field. STEPS will continue collecting data during the Aditya-L1 mission's cruise phase and once the spacecraft reaches its intended orbit. The next maneuver for the mission is scheduled for September 19.
