WhatsApp rolls out screen lock feature for desktop users: Here’s what it does

WhatsApp has started rolling out a new screen lock feature for desktop beta testers. The addition allows users to set a password to protect the app from unauthorised access. When enabled, the lock feature asks for a password to view a list of your conversations, meaning that even if someone has access to your computer, they won't be able to access messages without the correct details. If users forget their password, they will need to log out of WhatsApp Web and sign in again by scanning the QR code.
