Google Assistant support on Wear OS 2 to end this month

Google is reportedly planning to discontinue the support for Assistant on smartwatches that run Wear OS 2 in a bid to encourage users to upgrade to Wear OS 3. Wear OS app update has notified users that Google Assistant support on their watch will be ending soon and advised them to upgrade to a newer watch. The app will continue to work on Wear OS 2 till August 31, 2023. Additionally, Google has launched a user-friendly Google Assistant app for Wear OS 3 with voice command support. In another development, Chrome's latest update includes a sidebar search feature that allows users to perform searches without leaving their current webpage.
